A rare Art Deco period teaset produced by Royal Doulton and hand decorated by the famed artists of Robert Allen Studios. The small tea service includes the teapot, sugar and creamer and are all decorated in a mint green with black accents, each having a grape floral pattern overflowing from an urn shaped type medallian. The set is very streamlined and captures the Art Deco period perfectly!

Robert Allen became the head of a Doulton department and led a team of artists and craftsmen turning out the most expensive types of fine china.
Doulton pieces signed by Robert Allen are relatively rare, he and his artists in his studio were often allocated RA-numbers for their hand-painted wares designed and decorated by them. The RA numbers are mostly hand-written and accompany the standard Doulton marks.
Robert Allen handpainted wares were never produced in large quantities and many were never repeated.
