Antique 1830's Staffordshire Porcelain Purple Transferware Plate by Thomas Mayer Oriental Scenery

A wonderful 19th Century transferware plate in purple by Thomas Mayer of Staffordshire England in the Oriental Scenery Pattern. The plate depicts a ship arriving at a temple filled with soldiers, the temple shows people seated on the steps with various ornate looking temples and buildings in the background. The plate has a nice floral border along the scalloped rim.
